Favorite Books of 2015

We've reviewed the books we've read and selected the ones that we felt were the best books in 2015. These are the books that we could not stop thinking about even after we finished it. These books are amazing and we fell in love with them so we wanted to show our love by including them in our Favorite Books of 2015.

In no particular order:

~Duchess D~

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo: This book is filled with everything you'd want in a book. Mystery, suspense, romance, and action are written so well that I had to include this in my list. I love this book so hard and I recommend everyone reads this, because I assure you that you will love it just as much.

Trouble is a Friend of Mine by Stephanie Tromly: This book is hilarious! Digby is the most interesting anti-social character I have ever read about it and I loved him. The mystery also kept me guessing and romance gave me some hope. This book will make you laugh out loud and I loved it so much!

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir: Gladiators! Need I say more? But I will, because this book was just amazing. The suspense, romance, and action were written so well. I delved into this world head first and did not want to come out (even with the evil Commandant). The second book can be released soon enough!

Wild Reckless By Ginger Scott: This one is for the romance lovers. Everyone will fall in love Owen Harper. He is one character that felt so real to me and the story was so good that I finished it in a day. I loved this story so much that I sometimes reread it. If you haven't read this, I highly suggest you do, because it is a great story about love and hope.

The Deal by Elle Kennedy: Another recommendation for romance lovers. I thought this would be another New Adult coming-of-age romance, but boy, was I wrong. This is another story where the characters and story felt so real to me. I loved reading it and have absolutely no complaints.

~Queenie~

After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid: I highly recommend this if you want to read about family and relationships! It was very funny, sad, and just adorable all in one book. This book was written in 2014, but I read it right in time for the new year. It's very fitting to read this book around this time of the year because it's all about new beginnings.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard: Yes, there's a somewhat cheesy romance and a not the most likable heroine in the universe, but I love love love how the prejudices against the two blood types play out in the book. Everything in the society is affected by their blood types, and it was so interesting to read that.

Cress by Marissa Meyer: I am such a big fan of all of this series. It only has gotten better with each book, and this third one was the best so far. The characters are so lovely and drawn out wonderfully; I feel like I know them. I haven't yet read the last one, still waiting on the library. Le sigh.

Inside Out & Back Again by Thanhha Lai: This book is like reading poetry really. It can be read in one sitting. Sweet family relationships and the struggles of moving to a new country will bring on the feels! Lai sheds light on the journey Vietnamese immigrants had to make many years ago to escape their war-torn country.

The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen: This book was so fast-paced and awesome! Before reading this, I was in a long reading drought. This book was the light at the end of the tunnel. I really recommend if you want to read something suspenseful.

Honorable Mentions:

Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones: I've read the entire series in 1 week. Love the sarcasm and humor in this series. The mystery is great and the characters are loveable. Can't wait for the next book.
